Robotech is one of the most well-known television anime series
within the United States. This Anime series is really a melding
of three other totally independent anime series from Japan. The
reason why the series was combined was due to the short length
of each individual series. US television executives were not interested
at the time in such a short time, so someone decided to merge
the three series together in order to make Robotech.
Robotech is the one of the first major series to expose an large
American audio to the world of Japanese animation.

This website currently mainly deals with the first
part of the Robotech story known as the Macross Saga. This part
of the Robotech anime is based off of the Macross anime series in
Japan which has turned out to be one of the most popular anime series
of all time thus far.
Within this series there are two main kinds of friendly mechs.
The first kind are heavily armored mechs that are designed to
be more like tanks than they are for any kind of high speed maneuverability.
The second main kind of friendly mech covered in this website
is known as the Veritech fighter of a Valkyrie. This kind of Mech
has transforming capabilities from an F-14 like fighter to a humanoid
looking robot called a battloid. In-between the two forms the
aircraft can take is another mode called the Gerwalk. It halfway
between the battloid mode and the fighter mode and shares traits
with both modes of operation.

The toys on display in the image galleries are the GBP1-S armored Valkyrie,
VE-1 Elintseeker Valkyrie, and the VT-1 Superostrich Valkyrie Trainer.
The GBP1-S is a modification of the underlying fighter, the VF1-S,
and simply adds more armor and ammunition to an already powerful fighter.
The VE-1 Elintseeker is a variant of the VF1-S and serves as an additional
radar station thanks to the radar antenna on its back. This fighter
can help by acting as an advanced reconnaissance craft. Unfortunately,
I am missing the cannon that is supposed to go on its right arm, so
this toy is not fully complete.
The VT-1 is a special variant that is designed to train new pilots
in how to fly the Valkyrie fighter and get new recruits adjusted to
the ways a Valkyrie handles and maneuvers.
